Medical Scribe (Healthcare)

Come and join our team! We are a growing private medical practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal and vitreous diseases. We are looking for dedicated individuals interested in establishing a career in healthcare, working alongside nationally recognized physicians. We provide on-the-job training to help you grow and advance your skills while gaining innovative knowledge.

Established in 1977, our practice has locations across Northern California, including Sacramento, Grass Valley, Roseville, Stockton, Modesto, Merced, Fairfield, Elk Grove, Folsom, Yuba City, and Chico. Our physicians are nationally known, and we stay at the forefront of retina care by utilizing the latest equipment and participating in or designing new clinical trials to improve treatment for retinal diseases. Join over 250 team members in our fast-paced, high-volume medical office.

We are seeking a full-time Scribe to support our team. The role requires working independently and directly with physicians, patients, and staff across clinical and administrative departments. Collaboration and teamwork are essential. The position may involve travel to other locations as needed, with work hours Monday through Friday and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

1. Act as a physician extender
2. Answer patient questions
3. Ensure documentation is signed and complete
4. Spot audit visits, including verifying required documents for billing and ensuring their completeness
5. Handle prescription refills
6. Maintain Cidex weekly and keep the calendar updated
7. Complete necessary forms for physicians, such as lab requisitions, radiology requests, and surgery paperwork
8. Ensure HPI is completed
9. Demonstrate proper application of ocular dressings and shields
