Job Overview

Responsible for greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis. Assists qualified donors in completing the screening process, including health history assessment, medical questions, and health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, and finger stick sampling for hematocrit and total protein levels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Greet donors and verify their suitability for donation.
2. Assist donors with screening procedures, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
3. Educate donors on plasma products, screening process, and center policies after training.
4. Register and transfer donors as needed.
5. Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
6. Monitor donors during and after the process for adverse reactions and notify staff if necessary.
7. Record donor data accurately in the electronic system.
8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following HSE and OSHA policies.
9. Ensure confidentiality of all donor and personnel information.
10. Possibility of cross-training in other areas and requirement of bilingual skills based on organizational needs.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
