Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to work in a field-based capacity. You will engage with clinicians, KOLs, payors, and academic institutions to communicate scientific data and support product use in rare diseases.

You will travel to meetings, contribute to advisory boards, and provide market insights while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, evidence-based medical communications.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree with at least 2 years of MSL experience.
• Experience with orphan products and rare diseases preferred.
• Experience with high-cost products via specialty channels.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret scientific data and present clearly.
• Willingness to travel 50–60% to regional and national meetings.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for field work.

Responsibilities

• Attend national and regional medical meetings as a representative; engage attendees and summarize findings.
• Deliver fair-balanced clinical presentations to HCPs, payors, and patient organizations on product use.
• Identify speakers for advisory boards and educational programs with approved materials.
• Support regional medical initiatives and advisory boards as needed.
• Provide input on competitive therapies, business opportunities/risks, and market insights.
• Establish and maintain relationships with health authorities, payors, and academics.
• Facilitate grants and study support requests per company policy.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory, compliance, and quality issues in therapeutic areas.
• Monitor competitor intelligence and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
