Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to represent our products to KOLs, clinicians, and academic centers.

The MSL will build long-term scientific relationships through high-level disease-state discussions, support market insights, and align cross-functional teams in Medical Affairs. The role requires advanced scientific credentials with at least 2 years as an MSL, experience with orphan/rare diseases, and the ability to travel 50–60% in a field-based capacity.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences with at least 2 years as MSL.
• Experience supporting orphan/rare diseases, preferably PKU.
• Experience coordinating with patient access for high-cost therapies.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs, clinicians, payors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication of complex scientific data.
• Willingness to travel 50–60% and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Attend national and regional medical meetings and represent PTC.
• Deliver fair-balanced clinical presentations to HCPs, payors, patient groups.
• Identify speakers for advisory boards and educational programs.
• Support regional medical initiatives and provide market insights.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams in Medical Affairs.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, regulatory requirements and credentialing.
• Maintain relations with health authorities and academic institutions.
