Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree with a minimum of 2 years as Medical Science Liaison
• Experience with orphan products, rare diseases, genetics or Inborn Errors of Metabolism preferred
• Proven ability to engage KOLs, clinicians, payors and academic institutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex data clearly

Responsibilities

• Attend national and regional medical meetings as a representative and summarize findings
• Deliver fair-balanced clinical presentations to healthcare professionals and patient organizations
• Identify speakers for advisory boards, symposia, and educational programs
• Support regional medical initiatives and provide market insights to management
• Establish and maintain relations with health authorities, KOLs, HCPs, payors and patient organizations
• Submit educational grants or research initiatives per company policy
• Maintain awareness of medical, regulatory and quality issues in therapeutic areas
• Monitor competitor information and communicate insights to internal stakeholders
