Job summary

Koch Foods Inc. is seeking a Shift Health & Safety Associate for 3rd shift in Scottsboro, AL. You will provide first aid, maintain confidential medical records, and perform drug testing for post-offer screenings while coordinating hearing tests and safety communications.

Responsibilities include daily safety inspections, monthly safety meetings, and other duties to uphold workplace health standards. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• EMT license required.
• CPR and Basic First Aid certification required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications preferred.
• Safety experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and treat work-related injuries; maintain medical records.
• Perform daily safety inspections and ensure compliance.
• Conduct drug testing for post-offer testing and schedule hearing tests.
• Hold monthly safety meetings and provide related training.
• Carry out other duties related to the job with confidentiality.

Description

Provide first aid and treat all work-related injuries. Perform daily inspections ensuring safety compliance. With the utmost confidentiality, complete and maintain medical records. Conduct drug testing for post-offer employment testing, schedule hearing tests, and provide random screening as needed. Conduct monthly safety meetings. All other relevant duties to the job.

Requirements

• EMT LICENSE REQUIRED
• CPR and Basic First Aid Certified required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications preferred.
• Safety experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Expose to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
