Job summary

True Vet Solutions is seeking a General Medicine Assistant to support clinical case operations through precise medical record review and documentation preparation for veterans’ claims. The role requires accuracy with medical terminology, sound judgment, and careful coordination in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to determine filing needs for claims.
• Interact with Veterans via phone, text, and email to provide support and reassurance.
• Prepare and submit legal documents and forms for Veteran claims.
• Attach relevant medical records and statements to the claims packets.
• Verify documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Assemble and correctly combine forms for submission.
• Maintain an on-site, full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Position Summary

The General Medicine Assistant supports clinical case operations through accurate medical record review and the preparation of documentation that strengthens veterans’ claims. The role demands precision with medical terminology, sound judgment, and disciplined coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with sensitive medical information in a fast-paced office environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Review medical records to determine what is needed for filing claims
• Supporting and reassuring Veterans while directly working with them via phone, text, and email
• Completing legal documents and forms for the Veteran’s claim submission
• Include relevant information such as medical records, veteran statements, and other supporting items to the correct forms for their claims packet
• Review all documents for completeness and accuracy
• Combine forms correctly to complete the packet for submission
• Full-time, in-office position: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

What We’re Looking For

• Computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
• Working command of medical terminology and the ability to interpret clinical documentation
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to actively listen and display empathy
• Strong verbal communication and professional phone presence
• Highly organized, with disciplined time management and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with veterans or familiarity with the VA system
• Experience with medical terminology
• Knowledge of veteran benefits, disability ratings, or government benefit programs
• Preferred Prior experience in a medical or clinical setting

Required Qualifications

• Must be available for the 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST shift
• Must be able to report on-site

Condition of Employment

• A Level 2 background check is required.
