Piqua Care Center is hiring a Medical Records Technician to maintain and manage patient medical records in our on-site facility in Piqua, OH. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, accurate documentation, and secure storage of records.

You will update electronic health records, retrieve files for authorized personnel, and process records requests from various stakeholders. A High School diploma is required; RHIT is preferred, with 1–2 years of experience in medical records recommended.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• RHIT or similar credential preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in medical records management preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Organize, maintain and manage patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• File and securely store records in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
• Retrieve and provide access to records for authorized personnel in a timely manner.
• Process records requests from patients, providers, and agencies with required documentation.
• Ensure all forms and consents are included in patient records.
