The role supports audits, quality reviews, and staff with record questions, ensuring timely, accurate access to records to promote coordinated patient care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical records management or health information practices
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and privacy regulations
• Basic computer skills, including experience with electronic health record systems or databases
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with accurate management and maintenance of participant health information
• Scan, index, and retrieve medical records while ensuring confidentiality
• Respond to internal requests for records and support audits and quality reviews
• Help track documentation completeness and support staff with record-related questions
• Ensure health records are timely, accurate, and accessible to promote effective care coordination and regulatory compliance
