• Receive and follow work schedule and policies.
• Organize the medical records section per established policies.
• Assist in orientation for all personnel per policies.
• Assist the Medical Records consultant as required.
• Maintain minutes of meetings/files as necessary.
• Index and file medical records and charts as directed.
• Retrieve records for authorized personnel (doctors, nurses, gov't agencies).
• Assist admission, transfer and discharge procedures as needed.
• Answer telephone inquiries concerning medical records.
• Ensure records are complete, signed, and properly filed.
