UCHealth is seeking a HIM Scanning Specialist to perform clerical duties and technical scanning of medical records onsite in Aurora, CO. The role operates Tuesday through Saturday, 8am-4:30pm, with a pay range of $19.10–$24.83 per hour, depending on experience.

The position emphasizes accurate document preparation, scanning, indexing, and quality validation within a fast-paced environment. Training in medical terminology and anatomy is preferred, RHIT highly regarded but not required.

Qualifications

• No formal education required. Preferred: Training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy.
• 1 year of experience in patient health information or medical records scanning preferred.
• RHIT certification preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Performs document preparation, scanning and indexing of medical records, and audits results for image quality and accuracy.
• Assembles and maintains complete medical records.
• Scans medical records accurately and timely.
• Validates accuracy of scanned documentation.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision; fast-paced environment.
