UCHealth is seeking a part-time health information technician to perform document preparation, scanning and indexing of medical records at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO. The role requires attention to image quality, accuracy, and timely scanning, with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy.
• Preferred: RHIT certification by AHIMA.
• 1 year of experience in patient health information or medical records scanning.

Responsabilités

• Performs document preparation, scanning and indexing of medical records, and audits results for image quality and accuracy.
• Assembles and maintains complete medical records.
• Scans medical records accurately and timely.
• Validates accuracy of scanned documentation.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
