Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare in Medford, OR is seeking a Medical Records Coordinator to establish and maintain resident medical records in accordance with policy and regulations. The role includes training staff, ensuring complete EMR records, and coordinating with providers for timely care documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide training and guidance for medical records staff.
• Ensure medical records are complete with electronic function and scanning of records.
• Audit medical records as directed.
• Data entry into the electronic medical record as directed.
• Coordinate timely MD visits, documentation and signing of orders.
• Close medical records as directed.
• Restrict access to resident medical records to authorized staff.
• File documents per established procedures.
• Maintain HIPAA disclosure log for the facility.
• Participate in Medicare/Managed Care billing checks for accuracy.
• Maintain, retain and archive files per Cascadia policy and regulations.
• Participate in hiring, disciplining and evaluation of medical records staff.
• Prepare work schedules and maintain staffing.
• Ensure punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
