We rely on and trust our Medical Records - Health Information Specialist (QMA or LPN) to be responsible for maintaining the medical records according to established standards, policies, and state and federal regulations.

Full-time position - 40 hours per week

Must have weekend availability and participate in the on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all medical records in designated areas following policies and procedures
• Prepare admission packets and establish medical files
• Maintain open charts by filing all clinical documentation daily
• Monitor and audit records for completeness and accuracy
• Process, transfer, and discharge records, maintaining appropriate documentation for discharged residents, including bereavement files if applicable
• Prepare reports and notify leadership of any documentation deficiencies

Qualifications

• Licensed as a QMA or LPN
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• At least one year of clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting
• Capable of maintaining regular attendance
