Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains daily clinical records functions and policies.
• Ensures clinical record systems are compliant with state, federal regulations.
• Maintains working knowledge of applicable regulations and serves as a resource.
• Protects all clinical records with control procedures for open and closed records.
• Safeguards confidentiality of patient and organization information; supervises records.
• Forwards copies of clinical records to authorized users per policy.
• Completes administrative record audits following patient discharge.
• Monitors unsigned physician orders and follows up with overdue physicians.
