Job summary

Riverside Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, in Dayton, OH, is seeking a Medical Records Coordinator to ensure accurate documentation from admission through discharge and to protect records from breaches of confidentiality.

Responsibilities include auditing new admissions and discharge records, maintaining accessible filing systems, and performing general clerical duties while adhering to state/federal regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior medical records or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit new admissions for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Audit active/inactive records for completeness and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Audit discharge records for completeness; audit medical leave of absence records upon transfer/return.
• Maintain discharge record filing system for prompt retrieval of records.
• File, file and thin medical records per established policy/procedures.
• Perform general clerical duties and participate in training and orientation sessions.
