Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Records Management Manager to oversee the orderly handling of patient and administrative records at a nursing center. You will ensure compliant documentation and secure storage of both paper and electronic records, under federal and state guidelines.

The role requires ICD coding knowledge, attention to detail, and at least 3 years of records management experience in healthcare settings. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required; college degree strongly preferred.
• Certification in ICD coding or working knowledge of ICD coding is required.
• At least 3 years of experience with records management is required.
• Experience with records management in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance, security, and storage of all written and electronic records within the nursing center in line with regulations and the organization’s records management program.
• Ensure accurate and current diagnostic coding to support proper billing of patient care.
• Create medical records for all new patient admissions.
• Perform routine audits of medical records from admission to discharge to ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain the electronic diagnosis list.
