Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent experience in medical record review, diagnosis coding, and/or auditing.
• CPC or CCS-P credential required.
• Proficiency with ICD coding and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with coding applications.

Responsibilities

• Audit and abstract medical records (provider or vendor) to identify and submit ICD codes.
• Ensure codes are accurate, appropriate, and supported by clinical documentation.
• Identify active vs historical conditions and ensure compliance with CMS/OIG guidance.
• Meet tight project deadlines and conduct self-audits for policy compliance.
