Job summary

Outfield-Healthcare-Partners is seeking a Central Supply/Medical Records professional to maintain resident medical records from pre-admission to post-discharge. You will ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance in a Skilled Nursing setting.

The role emphasizes ICD coding proficiency, adherence to HIPAA, and collaboration with nursing and administrative teams to support billing and audit processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in medical records within skilled nursing or healthcare setting.
• Experience with ICD coding preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, and long-term care regulations/laws.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resident medical records in compliance with state/federal regulations, HIPAA, and policies.
• Ensure accurate diagnostic coding to support billing and cash flow.
• Manage and file records; perform audits and annual QA activities.
• Prepare reports for Quality Improvement committees and record releases per policy.
