Job summary

BayCare Health System in Florida seeks a Medical Records Coder I (PRN, remote) to join our team. You will assign diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4, monitor bill hold reports, and perform other duties as assigned.

Candidates should have medical coding training or 1 year related experience; CCS preferred. Florida residency required for remote work. Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, PRN hours not guaranteed.

Certifications and Licensures

• Highly preferred - Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)

Education

• Required High School or equivalent

• Preferred Associate Degree in Health Information Technology

Experience

• Required medical coding technical training/ program

• Or 1 year related experience in lieu of medical coding technical training/ program

• Highly preferred - strong CPT knowledge
