Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize resident medical records in both electronic and paper formats.
  • Ensure medical records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Process admissions, discharges, and transfers related to medical records.
  • File, scan, and retrieve documents as needed.
  • Protect resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with medical record audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to requests for medical records in accordance with facility policies.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and staff.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
