Job summary

TEEMA seeks a Medical Program Assistant Associate to support clinicians and staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will manage patient and legal requests for medical record reviews, ensuring timely processing and strict confidentiality.

You will scan and upload about 400 records per week into the EMR, coordinate reviews, and assist with scheduling and correspondence for roughly 12 clinicians, while maintaining accurate electronic records and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare education preferred.
  • Experience in medical office or health information management preferred.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems and HIPAA knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage patient and legal requests for medical record reviews and releases.
  • Retrieve, review, redact, and prepare healthcare records in accordance with privacy regulations and policies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate medical record reviews and document releases.
  • Scan and upload approximately 400 medical records per week into the EMR system.
  • Provide administrative support to ~12 clinicians, aiding scheduling, documentation, and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and ensure proper filing.
  • Prioritize and manage a high-volume workload with deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, attorneys, providers, and internal teams.
  • Perform general administrative duties to support clinic operations.
