TRIA Orthopedics is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our orthopedic team. The role greets patients, collects co-pays, schedules follow‑ups and referrals, and supports clerical duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The position operates at the TRIA Urgent Care desk open seven days a week, with 8-hour shifts between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Job Description

TRIA is looking to hire a Medical Receptionist to join our orthopedic team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary

The primary responsibilities for employees providing support within a department are to greet patients, collect co-pays, schedule follow‑up appointments and referrals and support departmental clerical duties.

Work Schedule

This is for our TRIA Urgent Care desk which is open 7 days a week. You will be scheduled 8 hour shifts between the hours of 7:00a-8:00p.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months related experience
• Some medical background preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Human relations sensitivity and customer service skills
• Listening and telephone etiquette skills
• Medical terminology knowledge desirable
• Comfort in asking patients for copays and race collection.
• Ability to promote and maintain good patient relations and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and structured environment.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to key for long periods of time
• Accurate computer/keyboarding skills required.
• Must be proficient in the operation of the following types of equipment: telephone and headsets, PC, printer, photo copier and fax machine.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
