Practice Administrative Associate serves to coordinate patient care and physician activity by greeting all patients/visitors, answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient medical records. The position requires knowledge of front desk medical office operations. Essential duties include:


  • Maintaining appointment schedules and communicating changes to staff and providers.
  • Coordinating check-in and front desk operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Answering calls, assisting callers, taking messages, and referring to appropriate personnel.
  • Executing pre-authorizations for insurance as needed and tracking referrals.
  • Maintaining electronic and paper medical records per policies.
  • Handling daily activities like message retrieval, faxes, mail, and voicemail.
  • Managing co-pay collections and reconciling cash drawers within Epic.
  • Participating in quality improvement activities and staff meetings.
  • Interacting professionally with diverse patients and staff, and gathering patient feedback.
  • Performing additional tasks as requested, including cross coverage and chaperone duties for procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • 1 year of healthcare administrative or 2 years of office experience.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multi-task; EMR experience preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Additional Information

Salary ranges from $19.78 to $27.27, commensurate with experience.
