This is a full-time, benefitted position located in our Imaging Center in Lansdowne, Virginia. The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

No weekends, major holidays, or call! Free on-site parking!

Who You Are

As a Medical Receptionist for Fairfax Radiology Centers (FRC), you are the first impression for our patients and family members. You are empathetic, kind, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and understand the importance of a smile and a kind word as you register our patients.

What You Will Do

• Greet patients, obtain referrals, and record their arrival.
• Register patients accurately and efficiently to ensure data integrity and facilitate timely claims processing, including collecting patient liabilities at the point of service.
• Create accurate and complete accounts in the information system by obtaining and verifying all necessary information.
• Apply financial screening guidelines and payer requirements to secure financially collectible patient accounts.
• Schedule and register patients for same-day procedures using appropriate guidelines for the modality.
• Answer all customer phone calls.

• 1+ years of experience in medical office or hospital patient access is highly preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional computer aptitude and ability to use multiple systems, with proficiency in electronic systems.
