Job summary

IR Centers at Urology Associates, a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab in Nashville, TN, seeks a Medical Receptionist / Surgical Scheduler to welcome patients, check them in, and manage referrals, scheduling consultations and procedures.

You will greet callers, process referrals, verify demographics and insurance, and use EMR systems to align provider availability with patient needs. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of medical scheduling experience.
• English proficiency.
• Bilingual (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet callers and serve as the first point of contact for patients.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and manage phone systems (e.g., RingCentral).
• Perform front desk duties including cross-training and maintaining punctual coverage.
• Process incoming referrals and proactively contact patients to schedule appointments.
• Schedule consults and procedures while collecting and updating demographic and insurance information.
• Confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments as needed.
• Use EMR systems and the Patient Tracker to align provider availability with patient needs.
• Perform patient check‑in/out, including insurance verification, referrals, and collections.
• Discuss insurance benefits with patients and coordinate with the billing team as needed.
• Prepare and maintain required reports (e.g., sedation reports).
• Communicate effectively with providers, staff, and external offices regarding scheduling and patient needs.
• Address patient concerns professionally and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

IR Centers at Urology Associates P.C. is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab in Nashville, TN. We are leading minimally invasive procedures across the U.S. by providing interventional radiology services in an outpatient setting.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Location: Nashville, TN 37212

As a Medical Receptionist / Surgical Scheduler at Urology Associates, you’ll play a key role in welcoming patients, checking them in for their appointments, and managing referral calls. Your primary responsibility will be reaching out to referred patients to schedule consultations and procedures in a timely, professional manner.
