Purpose: The primary purpose of the Patient Administrator is to maintain office functions of the center, including answering phone calls, verifying insurance and Medicare, obtaining authorizations, scheduling patients, and maintaining medical records according to Federal, State, and County guidelines and company policies.
The position fosters a warm, personal, positive, and calm environment when interacting with staff, patients, and visitors.
The Patient Administrator assists patients with check-in/check-out processes and addresses related needs. Collaborates with the Office Manager on patient-related decisions. Handles payment and billing transactions accurately following established protocols.
Provided through monitoring activities, observation, meetings, training, and annual reviews.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior experience in a medical office, preferably in mental health/substance abuse fields. Familiarity with electronic health records preferred.
Special Requirements: Knowledge of applicable State Regulations and 42 CFR Part 2. Adherence to professional standards, ethics, and ongoing education. Maintain current certifications and compliance.
