Job summary

Center for Vein Restoration is seeking a Part Time Patient Service Representative to greet patients, check them in/out, and support center operations in Grand Rapids, MI. The role emphasizes accuracy in HIPAA compliance, patient data entry, scheduling, and coordinated communication with departments such as precertification.

You will handle daily close tasks, review schedules, collect copays, and ensure patient records are up to date in NextGen/EHR.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year administrative or customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Must have reliable transportation to clinics that may not be accessible by public transportation
• Must be able to travel to CVR Grand Rapids, MI clinic
• Must be able to travel to CVR Wyoming and Muskegon, MI clinics on occasion

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner and check in/out.
• Ensure CVR policies and procedures are distributed, understood, and implemented by all assigned center staff.
• Ensure all patient charts are HIPAA compliant and input of demographics, procedures, payments into NextGen.
• Review scheduling and financial responsibilities and referrals with each patient throughout care.
• Send precertification forms at close of business daily to account for authorization prior to services.
• Complete daily close tasks including fee tickets, billing tasks and operative notes.
• Review future schedules to confirm preauthorization for treatment.
• Update patient forms in NextGen/EHR and keep records current in EHR/NextGen.
• Collect necessary paperwork for patient appointments such as authorizations, referrals, etc.
• Collect copays and patient balances at time of service.
• Schedule and confirm appointments; collect email addresses from patients.

• Monday and Wednesday
• 7 AM - 5PM
