POSITION SUMMARY:

A Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients entering the center. This role is crucial in setting a welcoming tone and providing a smooth, efficient, and supportive environment for patients and visitors. The receptionist is responsible for managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, handling incoming calls, and maintaining patient records with confidentiality and precision.This is a full-time position primarily located at the Shaker-Buckeye office (3 days per week), with 2 days per week at the Euclid office.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greeting customers and visitors to the office, ensuring guests are comfortable and are connected with the right office personnel
  • Answering calls and redirecting to the appropriate staff member
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment
  • Assist in vendor relationship management
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, faxes, mail, and packages
  • Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient payments
  • Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.
  • Protects patient’s rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
  • Performs all other duties as requested by provider and/or management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+years’ experience in relevant administrative/office management and/or general business setting is required. Healthcare industry experience required
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required
  • Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to also be extremely effective in an independent work setting
  • Able to follow instructions, respond to leadership inquiries and directives, and use work time efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills including writing and verbal
  • Excellent organizational, mutltitasking, and time management skills
