Job summary

CIMS MEDICA is seeking a Medical Writer in Publications to develop high‑quality scientific outputs for MedComms clients. The role focuses on peer‑reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and publication‑enhancement content, with guidance from senior writers and editorial leads.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of relevant publications writing experience and a PhD in life sciences or related field. Strong ethics knowledge and meticulous attention to data and references are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, public health, biomedical sciences, or related field (advantage: higher degree).
• 6 months to 1 year of peer‑reviewed publications writing experience preferred.
• Freshers with strong interest in medical writing welcome.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear scientific content for manuscripts, abstracts, posters, or reviews.
• Knowledge of publication ethics, disclosure and authorship principles.

Responsibilities

• Support publication development in line with industry standards (GPP, ICMJE, CONSORT).
• Conduct literature reviews, reference checks, data extraction, fact checking, and quality control.
• Prepare outlines, drafts, reviewer responses, figure/table legends, and submission-ready materials.
• Coordinate feedback from authors, clients and reviewers within timelines.
• Maintain awareness of journal and congress requirements (formatting, word count, references, disclosures).
• Collaborate with authors, clients, editors, and project teams to ensure ethical delivery.
