Kornferry in India is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Writer to translate complex evidence into clear, accurate content for healthcare professionals. You will lead manuscript development, abstracts and posters, while ensuring compliance with EMA/FDA guidelines and GPP3 standards.

The role requires a strong biomedical background, isolation from strict deadlines, and collaboration with cross-functional experts to deliver high-quality publications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum science degree or equivalent with 6+ years of scientific writing experience.
• Experience in biologics, dermatology preferred.
• Hands-on experience with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiar with Datavision and Veeva systems.
• Self-motivated, independent and proactive.

Job Title: Senior Medical Writer

Department: GMA Excellence and Operations

Position summary

The ideal candidate is an experienced medical writer with an established track record combining scientific expertise with exceptional communication skills, translating complex evidence into clear, accurate and engaging content for healthcare professionals.

Strong understanding of biomedical science, clinical research and evidence interpretation. Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts accurately, concisely and accessibly. Track record of strong collaboration. Prioritization meeting critical deadlines with a growth mindset enabling learning across our respective therapeutic areas.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development, review, submission, and delivery of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations, consensus papers, and related scientific materials.
• Skilled in evaluating data, identifying key insights and developing balanced scientific narratives.
• Meticulous approach to accuracy, consistency, referencing and quality control.
• Understands the information needs of healthcare professionals and adapts scientific content, tone and level of detail to support clear, relevant and credible manuscripts, posters, abstracts and other forms of medical publications.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of and applies applicable medical writing, publication and research-reporting standards, including relevant European Medicines Agency (EMA) / US Food and Drug Administration(FDA) requirements and guidance, such as current product-information, Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC) and Quality Review of Documents (QRD) standards.
• Is Familiar with ICMJE Recommendations, Good Publication Practice (GPP), relevant journal requirements, authorship and disclosure principles. demonstrate reference accuracy, copyright, data privacy and company review and approval processes is also required. Applies these requirements with scientific integrity, transparency and balanced, non-promotional communication for healthcare professionals.
• Works effectively with cross-functional experts and incorporates feedback constructively..
• Manages multiple priorities, meets deadlines and performs well in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactively develops knowledge of evolving science, therapeutic areas and communication practices.
• Maintains records for all assigned projects including archiving. SOP and training compliance.

Education and Work Experience

• Minimum science degree or equivalent - M.Sc./ M. Pharma B.Sc. Doctoral Degree or Qualification in Medical Sciences /equivalent with minimum of + 6 years scientific writing experience,
• Experience in working on biologics (ideally in dermatology) preferred
• Hands on experience working on MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other related tools
• Hands on experience working on Datavision and Veeva (preferred)
• A self-motivated, independent, and proactive personality
• Proper knowledge of GPP3 and other publication guidelines
