Job summary

Northwell Health in Danbury, CT is seeking a Per Diem Medical Practice Patient Representative to support the float team. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with duties including greeting patients, verifying demographics and insurance, and coordinating appointments and records.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Six months minimum experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
• Data entry and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
• Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system
• Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols
• Monitors applications and manage worklists as applicable.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Maintains and Models the Organization values.
• Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Summary

Education Skills Experience

Ability to travel between practices as needed.

Salary Range: $18.13 - $31.36 Hourly
