Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. Under physician and nurse supervision, you will support care delivery, greet patients using AIDET, and help manage delays while maintaining a high level of service.

Responsibilities include rooming, vitals, documentation in EMR, and assisting with orders and forms. A strong emphasis on patient experience, teamwork, and adherence to protocols is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant.
• EKG, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection experience.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests, provides patient support and information on delays.
• Accurately performs administrative duties in ambulatory settings, documents vitals, medications, history and reason for visit in EMR.
• Takes part in in-basket, MyChart messaging and prepares reports, forms and authorizations as needed.
• May assist with appointments and follow-ups, patient outreach and vaccine administration as policies allow.
• Maintains regulatory standards and supports multiple ambulatory offices as needed.
