Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide care under physicians and nurses in ambulatory settings. The role includes patient greeting, clinical support, and coordination with the office management to ensure efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities cover rooming, vitals, EMR documentation, scheduling, outreach, and potential vaccine administration, while maintaining a high standard of service and teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or externship completed in a medical office.
• EKG, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests, provide excellent service experience, inform of delays and offer alternatives.
• Perform administrative duties in ambulatory settings, including rooming, vitals, meds history, and documentation in EMR.
• Handle scheduling, follow-up appointments, and patient outreach across the healthcare continuum.
• Administer vaccines and document appropriately; collect specimens per protocols.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary teams and adhere to regulations and company standards.
