Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a nonexempt Medical Assistant to support physicians and providers in ambulatory settings. You will greet patients with AIDET, assist with rooming, vitals, and documentation, and help with scheduling and outreach.

Epic EMR experience and strong patient services skills are preferred. Must have at least one year of medical facility experience, EKG and vital signs proficiency, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or externship.
• Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection experience.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests utilizing AIDET and provide excellent service experience.
• Accurately and efficiently perform administrative duties in ambulatory settings including vitals, history, and documentation.
• Handle scheduling, rooming functionality, and EMR data entry (MyChart, in-basket, communications).
• Assist with patient outreach, vaccines administration, and documentation.
• Collect specimens and assist with lab testing and result reporting.
• Maintain regulatory standards and support multidisciplinary team.
