Job summary

Mercy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our therapy leadership team. You will perform objective assessments and design individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients under supervision, while guiding rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants in line with state practice acts.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Degree: Bachelors/MS in Physical Therapy or DPT.
• Six months to one year experience preferred in rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans for adults and geriatrics.
• Supervise patients and oversee rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants.
• General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with state acts.
• Align duties with Mercy mission, values, and service standards.

Job description

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Physical TherapistFull TimeEducation:

Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical TherapyCurrent State license of Physical Therapy.

Preferred Experience:

Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients
