Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to assess and design comprehensive treatment programs for adults and geriatric patients under Therapy Leadership. You will supervise patients directly and coordinate with rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants in alignment with state practice acts.

The role requires a PT licensure in the practicing state, BLS certification, and a preference for 6 months to 1 year of rehab PT experience.

Qualifications

• Current/Temporary Physical Therapy license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required and must be current before caring for patients independently.
• One year or less experience may be preferred; six months to one year experience is preferred in Rehabilitation Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision of patients; indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants as per State Practice Acts.

Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
