Job summary

Mercy in Lebanon, MO is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and implement comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients under Therapy Leadership. You will supervise patients directly and oversee rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants, in alignment with State Practice Acts and Mercy Service Standards.

A MO PT license and BLS are required, with 6 months to 1 year of preferred experience and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Must hold a physical therapy license in practice state (MO) or temporary license.
• BLS certification required; current before independent patient care.
• 6 months to 1 year rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adults and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants per State Practice Acts.
• Ensure care aligns with Mercy mission and service standards.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details

Education:

Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure:

Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Certifications:

BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Preferred Experience

Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
