APPS Paramedical Services - Iowa - is the nation’s largest and most technologically advanced health examination and information provider. Our network of health professionals conducts physical examinations, testing (venipunctures, EKG's, etc.), and personal health interviews. We serve leading life insurance providers such as New York Life, Primerica, Principal, Northwestern Mutual, etc., by providing physical examinations and testing required for policy underwriting.

We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented healthcare professionals (Critical care paramedics, RN's, LPN's, Certified MA, Phlebotomists, EMTs, & non-CC Paramedics) who are currently or previously certified or licensed. You can work your own schedule and hours, on a part- or full-time basis.

Compensation is up to $50/hr, depending on each case's requirements.

This is a 1099G (Independent Contractor) position, which means APPS does not provide benefits like health, SDI, vision, etc.

Responsibilities May Include

• Performing mobile paramedical healthcare exams (health history, vitals, specimen collection: blood, urine, etc.).
• Non-interpretive ECG tracings. ECG machines are not the examiner's responsibility to own.
• Self-scheduling your caseload; APPS sends you cases, and you accept or decline.
• Maintaining strong communication with the regional office regarding case status, issues, needs, or conflicts.
• Maintaining professional conduct at all times, representing the healthcare industry and the company.

Qualified Candidates Must Have

• Current licensure or certification; a certificate of medical training is not required.
• At least one year of recent phlebotomy experience with a minimum of 100 successful blood draws, a valid driver’s license, own transportation, and valid insurance.
• Excellent communication, organization, and technical skills, along with courtesy, tact, and professionalism.
• A computer (preferably a laptop with a camera or a tablet) and a mobile phone.
• Proper documentation standards; resumes with incorrect grammar or spelling errors will not be considered.
