APPS Paramedical Services - Iowa - is the nation’s largest and most technologically advanced health examination and information provider. Our network of health professionals conducts physical examinations, testing (venipunctures, EKGs, etc.), and personal health interviews. We serve leading providers in the life insurance industry (such as New York Life, Primerica, Principal, Northwestern Mutual) by providing physical examinations and testing required for policy underwriting.

We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented healthcare professionals (Critical care paramedics, RNs, LPNs, Certified MAs, Phlebotomists, EMTs, and non-CC Paramedics) who are currently or previously certified or licensed, to work your own schedule and hours, on a part- or full-time basis.

Compensation is up to $50/hr depending on case requirements.

This is a 1099G (Independent Contractor) position; APPS does not provide benefits such as health, SDI, or vision insurance.

Responsibilities May Include

• Performing mobile paramedical healthcare exams (health history, vitals, specimen collection: blood, urine, etc.)
• Non-interpretive ECG tracings (ECG machines are not the examiner's responsibility to own)
• Self-scheduling your caseload; APPS assigns cases which you can accept or decline
• Maintaining strong communication with the regional office regarding case status or issues
• Representing professionalism and courtesy at all times

Qualified Candidates Must Have

• Current licensure; certification or medical training is not required for this position
• At least one year of recent phlebotomy experience with a minimum of 100 successful draws
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation with insurance
• Excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills
• Computer or tablet with camera and mobile phone
• Attention to detail in documentation; resumes with errors will not be considered
