APPS Paramedical Services is the nation’s largest and most technologically advanced health examination and information provider. Our network of health professionals conducts physical examinations, testing (venipunctures, EKG, etc), and personal health interviews. We serve the life insurance industry's leading providers (New York Life, Primerica, Principal, Northwestern Mutual, etc.) by providing physical examination, and invasive and noninvasive testing required for their policies to be underwritten.

We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented healthcare professionals (Critical care paramedics, RNs, LPNs, Certified MAs, Phlebotomists, EMTs & non-CC Paramedics) who are currently or previously certified or licensed to work your schedule and hours, cases, part- and full-time.

Pay is up to $50.00 per case depending on the requirements of each case.

This is a 1099G (Independent Contractor) position, which means APPS does not provide benefits like health, SDI, vision, etc. insurance.

Responsibilities may include:

• Performing mobile paramedical healthcare exams (health history, vitals, specimens: blood, urine, etc.).
• Non-interpretive ECG tracings. ECG machines are not the examiner's responsibility to own.
• Self-scheduling your caseload; APPS sends you cases, and you accept or decline them.
• Maintaining strong communication with the regional office's staff regarding case status or issues.
• Representing a professional conduct at all times, reflecting the healthcare industry and the company's trust.
• Liability insurance is provided by APPS for examiners.

Qualified candidates must have:

• Current licensure or certification is not required, but previous certification/licensure or relevant experience is necessary.
• At least one year of recent phlebotomy experience with a minimum of 100 successful draws, a valid driver’s license, own transportation, and valid insurance.
• Excellent communication, organization, and technical skills, with the ability to interface extensively with clients and staff, demonstrating courtesy, tact, and professionalism.
• A computer (preferably a laptop with a camera or a tablet) and a mobile phone.
• Attention to documentation standards; resumes with incorrect grammar or spelling errors will not be considered.
