Job summary

MedVet in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Medical Oncology Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced clinical team. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:45am–3:45pm, with a base hiring range of $17.00–$28.00 per hour depending on experience.

You’ll assist with chemotherapy, coordinate client communications, manage appointments and documentation, and support compassionate care for patients and families. Prior veterinary experience and strong calculation skills are required, with flexibility for extra

• Prior veterinary experience required, oncology experience preferred.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist with chemotherapy treatments, requiring excellent venipuncture skills.
• Coordinate and manage client communication via phone and email.
• Manage appointments, obtain histories, invoicing, patient discharges, scheduling.
• Accurate and thorough documentation in medical records.

Medical Oncology Veterinary Assistant

Proposed Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:45am - 3:45pm

This role has a hiring range of $17.00-28.00/hr based on experience.

Our Medical Oncology assistants thrive in a fast-paced environment, can multi-task, have high attention to detail and will gain experience in chemotherapy treatments.

What you’ll do

Who you are

• Prior veterinary experience required, previous oncology experience desired

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
