MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets in Cleveland is seeking a Medical Oncology RVT to join a fast-growing emergency and specialty team. The role focuses on chemotherapy administration, venipuncture, dose calculations, and supporting clinical studies in a collaborative setting.

The ideal candidate holds a licensed RVT with prior veterinary experience (oncology preferred) and excels in a fast-paced environment with strong client communication.

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required
• Prior veterinary experience required; oncology experience desired
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, CRIs, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsabilités

• Assist in chemotherapy protocols
• Drug calculations as they relate to treatment plans
• Vertical-flow hood and maintenance
• Clinical studies/trials
• Extravasation protocols/safety
• Administration of chemotherapy, requiring venipuncture skills and IV catheter placement
• Coordinate and manage client communication/education via phone and email
• Manage appointments, obtain histories, invoicing, patient discharges, scheduling
• Accurate documentation in medical records

Proposed Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 730am - 530pm

This role has a hiring range of $18.75-35.00/hr based on experience.
