Job summary

MedVet is seeking a Medical Oncology Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team in Utah. The role supports veterinarians and technicians in delivering high-quality care to oncology patients, including venipuncture and treatment preparation, while maintaining accurate records and a clean, organized clinical area.

The position requires flexibility in scheduling (Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri) with potential for additional hours. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience is desired.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive quality care
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
• Assist Veterinary Technicians with patient restraint
• Manage the restocking of supplies for clinical teams
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage laundry needs of department

We are looking for: Medical Oncology Veterinary Technician Assistant

Proposed Schedule: Mon - Thurs 8a - 6p or Tues - Fri 8a - 6p

Have you lost a loved pet to cancer and have a heart to help others avoid the same heartache? This team develops strong bonds with our patients and clients, requiring compassion and excellent patient care.Our Medical Oncology technicians will develop excellent venipuncture skills, have high attention to detail and will gain experience in chemotherapy treatments.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure patients receive quality care
