4. Every 3rd Weekend & Every 3rd Holiday
5. Up to $12,500 Sign-On Bonus Eligible

Overview

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, located in St. Louis County, offers comprehensive medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer treatment, women and infants services, among others. It features a 24-hour adult emergency department and a separate pediatric emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children's Hospital.

The inpatient Medical Oncology unit has 32 private beds caring for a mix of medical, oncological, and palliative care patients.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care.

Responsibilities

1. Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on managing their illness, post-treatment home care, and medication administration.
2. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engages in professional development.
3. Develops, implements, and documents individual care plans with defined goals, collaborating with the interprofessional team and patients/families, ensuring communication across the continuum of care.
4. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural needs.
5. This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work alertly and safely is essential.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
