Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a patient scheduling specialist to facilitate the registration and scheduling process for outpatients, coordinating with registration and ancillary departments to ensure accurate capture and throughput of appointments.

You will schedule appointments for ancillary departments, notify physician offices of non-covered appointments, and ensure precertification is obtained promptly, contributing to efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High school graduation required.
• Knowledge of basic office equipment (copier, fax, calculator) required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the registration and scheduling process for patients.
• Communicates with registration and ancillary departments to ensure accurate capture and throughput of outpatient appointments.
• Schedules patient appointments for ancillary departments and notes all essential information.
• Notifies physician offices of possible non-covered appointments.
• Ensures prompt delivery of precertification for outpatient clinics.
• Performs data entry for patient appointments and external reviews.
