Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking a Scheduler I to coordinate patient appointments for office visits and procedures in a busy medical setting. You will maintain physician calendars, handle triage messages, and support patient registration and payments while ensuring accurate charting in the EMR system.

Your role requires strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail, with experience in a medical office. Bilingual skills are a plus, and basic understanding of healthcare plans is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patients for office visit and procedure appointments.
  • Maintain physicians schedules for visits and procedures (phone or in person).
  • Take triage call messages for medical staff.
  • View patient visit notes, problems/diagnosis, and physician orders.
  • Assist in patient registration and financial transactions.
  • May schedule radiology/lab and recall appointments.
  • Assist with check-in and check-out of patients.
  • File records in EMR and prepare charts; scan documents into EMR.
