Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL seeks a Medical Office Rep dedicated to outstanding patient service. The role supports a physician office team, greets patients, collects information, schedules appointments, and handles billing inquiries in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent is required.
• 6 months of healthcare experience OR 6 months of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets and signs in patients
• Obtains patient information
• Schedules patient appointments
• Assists with patient inquiries
• May arrange for other procedures
• Laboratory and consultations with referral doctors
• Collects and posts payments
• Assists patients with billing questions
• Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout
• Sorts and distributes mail
• Copies medical records

Position Details

• Location: Tampa, FL
• Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
• Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM (May Vary)
• Weekend Work: None
