Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Medical Office Rep in St. Petersburg, FL to join our outpatient team. You will greet patients, collect information, schedule appointments, and assist with inquiries while supporting the physician practice in a fast-paced front-office environment.

The role is full-time, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (may vary), with benefits, PTO, tuition reimbursement, 401k match, and performance bonuses. BayCare emphasizes compassionate patient care across 175+ locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and signs in patients and collects patient information.

The Medical Office Rep is responsible for:

• Supports the physician's office health care team
• Greets and signs in patients
• Obtains patient information
• Schedules patient appointments
• Assists with patient inquiries
• May arrange for other procedures
• Laboratory and consultations with referral doctors
• Collects and posts payments
• Assists patients with billing questions
• Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout
• Sorts and distributes mail
• Copies medical records

RequiredEducation:

• High School or Equivalent

Experience:

• Required 6 months of healthcare
• Or 6 months of Customer Service
