Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Medical Office Representative to join our Palm Harbor location. You will greet patients, collect information, schedule appointments, and assist with billing inquiries to support the physician office health care team.

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within a leading multi-specialty group in Tampa Bay and west central Florida.

Qualifications

• 6 months of healthcare experience or 6 months of customer service experience.
• Medical front desk experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and sign in patients, obtain basic information and verify details.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with care team.
• Answer inquiries, assist with billing questions and collect payments.
• Help with rooming patients, returning calls, and routing documents as needed.
• Prepare encounter forms and copy or file medical records.

• Location: Palm Harbor West Medical Center
• Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
• Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Medical Office Rep is responsible for:

• Supports the physician's office health care team
• Greets and signs in patients
• Obtains patient information
• Schedules patient appointments
• Assists with patient inquiries
• May arrange for other procedures
• Laboratory and consultations with referral doctors
• Collects and posts payments
• Assists patients with billing questions
• Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout
• Sorts and distributes mail
• Copies medical records

Required Education

• High School or Equivalent

Required Experience

• Required 6 months of healthcare
• Or 6 months of Customer Service
• Highly preferred medical front desk experience
